Yes, I’ve been watching Agent Carter, and yes, I’ve been a bad girl for not updating you with my reviews of the show. But I’m here to make up for it, I swear 🙂 I’m a huge fan of Marvel’s Agent Carter, and I love discussing the latest action-packed episode.
Starting with the first, I have to say that I LOVED the humor. From Peggy’s banter with Jarvis and her snarky remarks regarding Howard Stark, it was refreshing and fun to see the humorous side of her story as we join her in season 2.
However, make no mistake, there are some heavier aspects such as Peggy’s on-going head bumping with our dear jerky Thompson, the “will they, or won’t they?” with Sousa, the rather delicate allusions to racism in the ’40s (re: Dr. Jason Wilkes), and the fact that I just don’t trust the FBI to hold badass Dottie Underwood (I’m thrilled that she’s back, such a great villain to go toe-to-toe with Peggy).
I’m just glad that so far the show isn’t being mucked up and that it’s fun to watch. Yay! And the zero matter–is that some creepy stuff, or what? And with the introduction of the Council, of Whitney Frost and her philandering husband, etc., it seems we’ll have some great story matter to explore.
